To reset AT&T Email Password / access id and ATT.NET Account Password


Read before you begain.


If the email password you reset is also used to access the same email account from your smartphone, you will need to update the email settings on your smartphone.


Also, if you access your email through a third-party email client, be sure to change your password to ensure uninterrupted email service.


Important information about shared passwords for att..net and att.com

If you have an Access ID with an email address associated with it, the password will be the same on att.com and att.

If you change your password, it changes for both your Access ID and your email address.

Always use your email address to complete these instructions, even if it's merged with a Ya.hoo email address.

The following instructions are valid for both primary and secondary email addresses and for all email address domains.

Reset your ATT email password with security questions


Follow these steps to reset your password by answering your security questions.


If you don’t remember them, you can update your security questions and answers. You can also follow the next set of instructions to reset with a temporary password.

Visit the Forgot att Password page.

Select Password.

Enter your full email address and your last name.

Select Continue.

From the drop-down menu, select I'll answer my security questions.

Answer the security questions that you set for your account.

Select Continue.

Follow the prompts to create your new password.


Once successful, you’ll receive confirmation that your password has been reset. It may take up to five minutes for the new password to take effect.


Reset your ATT password with a temporary password


If you don’t know the answers to your security questions, follow these steps.


Note: This method is only available if you have saved to your account a contact email address that is different from the address for which you are attempting to reset the password.

Visit the Forgot Password page.

Select Password.

Enter your email address and your last name.

Select Continue.

From the drop-down menu, select Send me a temporary password.

Select how you’d like the temporary password sent to you.

Select Continue. Check for the temporary password.

Copy the temporary password and enter it in the provided field. Follow the instructions to create a new, permanent password. If you mistakenly close the window, you can use your temporary password one time by going to the mysign-inpage. You will then be prompted to create your new password.


Change your email password

Update an email password using a smartphone, tablet, or computer.


Visit the At&t Forgot Password page.

Select Password.

Enter your Bellsouth email address and your last name.

Select Continue.

From the drop-down menu, select Send me a temporary password.

Select how you’d like the temporary password sent to you.

Select Continue. Check for the temporary password.

Copy the temporary password and enter it in the provided field. Follow the instructions to create a new, permanent password. If you mistakenly close the window, you can use your temporary password one time by going to the mysign-inpage. You will then be prompted to create your new password.


Go to the web address "att".

Tap on Sign in interface from the upper right hand side of the landing page. You will be re-coordinated to the Login page.

On the off chance that you have overlooked your Bellsouth email secret key, at that point the login blunder message will show up on your screen.

Tap on 'Forgot Bellsouth email Password?' interface underneath the Password field. It will take you to att.com Password Reset area.


Now check Password box. Please enter your User ID and your Last Name. Click on Continue button.


You can now choose to receive a temporary password or answer your security questions. Select ‘Send me a temporary password’ or ‘I’ll answer my security questions’.


If you select a temporary password, then will send you an email with a new temporary password in your recovery email address. Log in using that temporary password and now create a new password for bellsouth.net login.


If you remember your security questions and answers, simply answer your security questions 1 & 2 and click Continue. Now create a new password.

Go to Profile > Change login password.

Enter and save your password information.

Select Continue.
